Program Overview
Thank you for your interest in Exercise Science at High Point University. The program is growing by leaps and bounds and I look forward to you being a part of it. The opportunities this program gives you are vast, in fields as diverse as physical/occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, chiropractic medicine, strength and conditioning, corporate wellness, and personal training.I want you to know that as a major in this field; I will do all that I can to prepare you for a future career in wherever your interests lie.
Those that have come before you have done well for themselves on the graduate and professional level, being accepted at Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill, ECU, Old Dominion, The Medical University of South Carolina, The University of Texas - Medical Branch, Emory University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and many others.

Members of the program's recent graduating classes have gone on to further higher education in Medicine, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Chiropractic, Physician's Assistant Studies, and traditional graduate programs in Exercise Science. Our graduates have been accepted at universities such as Duke, South Carolina, Ohio University, East Carolina University, St. Augustine University, James Madison, Seton Hall, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Emory University, and The University of Georgia, among others.
- Internships and Experiential Learning
Students have completed internships within all aspects of Exercise Science. Examples include physical and occupational therapy (both in- and outpatient), strength and conditioning (with such organizations as the New York Yankees, HPU Athletics, Athletic Republic, Velocity Sports Performance, Camp La Jolla, one of the country's premier youth weight loss camps, minor league baseball and soccer, and NASCAR).
